What your students will be able to do
- Start, lock, restart and shut down a Windows-style workstation.
- Name CPU, RAM, storage and PSU, and match a simple fault to a part.
- Connect monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer and USB.
- Choose OS vs application vs utility vs driver for an office task.
- Take a backup without deleting originals.
- Build the ABC Enterprises department folder tree.
- Copy, move, rename, delete and restore files under a naming policy.
- Find a file by name or extension and pack a ZIP.
- Recover a messy office computer without destroying business files.
Questions teachers ask
Do students need Microsoft Office installed?
Not for Weeks 1–2. Those days are hardware, Windows and files in the browser. Word and Excel labs come in later weeks.
Do they need an account?
No. Progress is saved in this browser only.
Is this the full 12-week certificate?
The certificate is 12 weeks / 180 hours. This slice opens Weeks 1–2 (ten teaching days). Weeks 3–12 show as coming next.
