Free Core Java teaching slides, beginner to advanced
Take students from their first println to OOP, Collections, streams, multithreading and JDBC, with code you can run, step-through animations and a built-in Code Lab.
What you get
- 476 projector-ready slides in 5 parts — nothing to install, no account
- 21 modules, each with a real-project diagram, a lab, a recap and a quiz
- 210 practice examples (easy, medium and hard) and 10 projects
- A step-through tracer and a Code Lab that downloads the .java file, plus a class test you can set in 10 minutes
How to teach it
About 101 hours across 21 modules: 14 to 26 hours per part, with 12 hours for the capstone projects. A school class can stop after Part 2.

What your students will be able to do
- Write and run Java programs with variables, data types, operators, Scanner input and printf
- Choose between if/else, switch and the three loops for a given problem
- Write reusable methods, and work with arrays, String and StringBuilder
- Model real things with classes and objects, encapsulation, static and packages
- Apply inheritance, polymorphism, abstract classes and interfaces, and handle exceptions
- Use wrappers, enums, records and generics, and store data in Lists, Sets, Queues and Maps
- Process collections with lambdas and the Stream API, and sort with Comparable and Comparator
- Read and write files, work with dates, run tasks on threads and connect to a database with JDBC
- Finish complete capstone projects that tie the course together
Final test and certificate
Students who sit the Core Java final and score 50% or more receive a completion certificate from BrainBit Infotech Private Limited, carrying a number anyone can check on our certificate verification page.
Questions teachers ask
Can I use these slides in my own class?
Yes. Open them on a projector and teach from them as they are — there is nothing to install and no account needed.
Is the code on the slides runnable?
Yes. Every example has a ▶ Run button showing output produced by real Java 21, and the Code Lab lets students edit the code, download the .java file or open an online compiler.
Do students need to install anything?
Not to follow the slides: they run in any browser. For their own practice, students install JDK 21 and VS Code or IntelliJ IDEA; the JDBC module adds the sqlite-jdbc jar.
How is the course split?
Five decks: Java Foundations, Methods, Arrays & Strings, Object-Oriented Java, Collections, Generics & Streams, and Advanced Java & Capstone Projects — 21 modules with 10 practice examples each.
